"Meticulous Nicholas" started as a childhood nickname and later became a dream job. Nick has worked as a carpenter, database developer, reference librarian, art gallery manager, and academic administrator. He holds a BA in the History of Technology from Carleton College, and an MS in Information Science from the University of Michigan. Nick has lived with his spouse in Florence and Northampton for the past 15 years. A lifelong builder and tinkerer, Nick started Meticulous Nicholas when the pandemic led to a reorienting of his work life. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, local history and archaeology, playing the trumpet, and keeping up with his young children.
